This year’s event honored leading philanthropic CRE firm The Bulfinch Companies; each year consecutively draws more than 200 local real estate professionals in volunteerism
Building Impact, the organization dedicated to strengthening communities around Greater Boston by providing individuals and companies with the knowledge and opportunity to volunteer, donate, and connect in the buildings where they work or live, hosted its 4th Annual “NonGala” at One Federal Street on April 27, bringing together real estate industry executives and leaders to celebrate and support its mission.
Each year, the NonGalaraises funds to support Building Impact’s programs which make giving back convenient by bringing volunteer events and donation drives to tenants and residents in office and apartment buildings across New England. The NonGala draws more than 200 professionals to a “feel-good” celebration of volunteerism reflective of Building Impact’s efforts to be the organization that fills service gaps in local communities and the nonprofit industry.
This year’s event honored The Bulfinch Companies,a third-generation entrepreneurial commercial real estate investment firm specializing in the development, acquisition, repositioning and management of properties in Greater Boston, for their impactful and important work in the community.
“Bulfinch is extremely proud of its long–term relationship with Building Impact and the work we’ve done together to make a positive impact on the communities in which we work and live,” said Eric Schlager, CEO at Bulfinch. “For 80 years, Bulfinch has made social responsibility and giving back top priority, and to receive the 2016 Building Impact Honoree Award not only validates this commitment, but recognizes the successes we’ve achieved together within the community.”
‘”Working with Building Impact has given us an incredible means of connecting our tenants with numerous non–profit organizations in need of support right at the convenience of their workplace,” said Francesca Austin, Tenant Relations Manager at Bulfinch. “Our relationship with Building Impact has given us, as well as our tenants, a sense of pride, responsibility and empowerment in the community by making a real positive difference for those in need.”
“As a founding partner of Building Impact, The Bulfinch Companies is tremendously honored to be this year’s Building Impact NonGala Honoree,” said Tina Snyder, Director of Marketing at Bulfinch. “Years ago Bulfinch, along with a few select industry leaders, set out to create an organization that took giving back to the community to a new level in the workplace. Now in its 13th year, Building Impact has surpassed our vision and has made a powerful and significant difference within our communities for those less fortunate, has strengthened collaboration among our tenants, and has empowered an industry to easily do good together. We are proud of BI’s successes and are excited to see what the future holds.”
In addition to a formal ceremony and networking, the NonGala uniquely offers on site micro-volunteering during which attendees have the opportunity to volunteer while simultaneously learning about various local nonprofits that are beneficiaries of Building Impact’s programming.
