CityBizList: Building Impact Hosts 3rd Annual “Non-Gala” in Boston

Description

Event drew more than 200 local real estate professionals in volunteerism and honored leading CRE firm The Davis Companies

Building Impact, the organization dedicated to strengthening communities around Greater Boston by providing individuals and companies with the knowledge and opportunity to volunteer, donate, and connect in the buildings where they work or live, hosted its 3rd Annual “Non-Gala” at One Financial Center in Boston, bringing together real estate industry executives and leaders to celebrate and support its mission.

Each year, the Non-Gala raises funds to support Building Impact’s programs which make giving back convenient by bringing volunteer events and donation drives to tenants and residents in office and apartment buildings across New England. The Non-Gala draws more than 200 professionals to a “feel-good” celebration of volunteerism reflective of Building Impact’s efforts that fill service gaps in local communities and the nonprofit industry.

This year’s event honored The Davis Companies,an integrated real estate investment, development and management firm headquartered in Boston, for their impactful and important work in the community. The event also celebrated Building Impact’s various partners (listed here) for making an impact on the community through philanthropy.

“The Davis Companies is proud to be a founding sponsor and event honoree at Building Impact’s Non-Gala this year. The organization’s model of bringing a building’s tenants together, with the dual goals of building community and leveraging it for good, is innovative and powerful. Building Impact’s program is a great service, both to those in need, and to our tenants and their employees who are anxious to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate,” said Jonathan Davis, Founder and CEO of The Davis Companies.

The evening’s festivities included activity stations with hands-on community service activities. Professionals decorated signs for the 2015 Walk for Hunger and made games for Perkins School for the Blind’s students.
